Tom spent twenty-five years at Corning running multibillion-dollar businesses and leading enterprise transformations across life sciences, automotive, telecommunications and consumer electronics, with operations spanning North America, South America, Europe and Asia. Having lived and worked in Asia himself, he reads the opportunities and the complexity of operating across global markets and supply chains first-hand.
What drew him to Zinit is the sourcing and savings opportunity he watched go unworked over those years, which happened because the teams who could see it were already stretched across everything else, and that is the equation he thinks AI can change.

In my twenty-five years of running businesses at Corning, I have seen significant sourcing and savings opportunities go untapped. Not because the opportunities weren’t there, but because competing priorities, limited staffing, and the resources required to pursue them made many areas of spend difficult to address. Zinit has the potential to change that equation, enabling companies to pursue opportunities that were previously out of reach while exposing them to a much broader universe of suppliers capable of meeting their needs. I look forward to bringing an operator’s perspective to Zinit as the company helps enterprises transform procurement.
